- 4 ounces cream cheese (softened to room temperature) for topping
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened) for topping
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar for topping
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix lukewarm milk and melted butter. Add sugar, salt, mashed banana, and yeast; stir well.
- Gradually incorporate flour until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes.
- Place dough in a greased bowl and cover; let rise for about an hour until doubled.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over it.
- Sprinkle brown sugar mixed with cinnamon and layer sliced bananas on top.
- Roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 pieces. Place in a greased baking dish; cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and pour warmed heavy cream over the rolls before baking for about 35 minutes until golden brown.
- To make frosting: beat together softened cream cheese and butter; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
- Drizzle frosting over warm rolls before serving.
