Ingredients
- 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot and cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente.
- While boiling, slice the mushrooms and chop the sage.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with olive oil. Add chopped sage and cook for about 1 minute until crispy; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic with another tablespoon of butter. Sauté for about 5 minutes until browned.
- Once tortellini is cooked, drain it well and add to the skillet with sautéed mushrooms. Stir in remaining butter, grated parmesan cheese, and crispy sage. Toss gently to combine and season with salt and pepper.
