  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 apples, peeled and chopped

Instructions

  5. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, layer with half of the chopped apples and half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Repeat layers.
  6. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
