Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (cold and cubed)
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add cold cubed butter and blend until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Stir in cold water and vanilla extract until a dough forms. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough into a rectangle. Fold into thirds to create layers; roll out again. Repeat this folding and rolling process two more times.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Cut the rolled-out dough into triangles. Place chocolate chips at the base of each triangle and roll from base to tip.
  6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
