  • 2 cups marinara or crushed tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped spinach or zucchini (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot. Add gnocchi and cook until they float; drain well.
  3. In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté garlic and onion until softened.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add cooked gnocchi to the sauce mixture, gently stirring until coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
