  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 14 1/2 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 3 ounces tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 cup bone broth
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté onions, celery, and bell pepper until crisp-tender. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in jalapeno and garlic; cook for one minute. Add spices and stir well.
  4. Chop the cooked turkey bacon and return it to the skillet along with diced tomatoes and tomato paste; season with salt and pepper.
  5. Stir in bone broth and let simmer uncovered for 20 minutes until thickened. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
