- 500g ground beef
- 1 tablespoon tomato puree
- 80ml red apple vinegar
- 500g tomato passata
- 240ml beef stock
- Fresh basil
- Dried oregano
- 200g spaghetti
- 6 crusty white rolls
- Butter
- Parsley
- 200g mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until golden brown, then stir in minced garlic.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Mix in tomato puree.
- Pour in red apple vinegar; reduce slightly, then add tomato passata and beef stock. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, herbs, sugar, and seasonings. Simmer for about 25 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Hollow out the rolls and brush with a mixture of melted butter, garlic paste, parsley, and parmesan.
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente; drain and mix with sauce.
- Fill the hollowed rolls with spaghetti and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 8-10 minutes until cheese is melted.
