Ingredients
- 4 cups strawberries
- ½ cup water
- ¾ cup granulated sugar

- Freeze-dried strawberries (for dusting)
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberry syrup by cooking strawberries and water over low heat, mashing, then straining. Mix in sugar and lemon juice, heat until thickened.
- Whisk together mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks and fold into mascarpone mixture along with cooled strawberry syrup.
- Soak ladyfingers briefly in the remaining strawberry syrup, layer them in a serving dish, add half the filling, repeat layers, then refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
- Before serving, dust with freeze-dried strawberry powder and garnish with sliced strawberries.
